Education & Training

Dr. Rose Makerewich is a board certified plastic surgeon, with dual certification by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She completed her surgical training at Western University, and holds a fellowship designation from the University of Toronto. Dr. Rose Makerewich received further extensive training from esteemed plastic surgeons in the United States and Europe on the latest techniques in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, thus her patients can be assured that her expertise is well rounded and in accordance with international practice standards.

Dr. Rose Makerewich provides personalized care to each of her patients, fully appreciating that each individual has unique aesthetic goals. Dr. Rose Makerewich has authored many scientific manuscripts and has published her work in highly regarded Plastic Surgery journals. She has been invited to present her research at numerous national and international venues. She has been honored with various awards in the realms of basic science, high academic standing, and excellence in surgical technique. She is also passionate about education and is actively involved in the surgical training of medical students in affiliation with McMaster University. Dr.  Rose Makerewich is on active staff with the Sir William Osler Health System group and practices in Toronto, Brampton and Etobicoke.

Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute

The Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute is the result of Dr. Jugenburg's extensive experience in Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Upon returning to Toronto, Dr. Jugenburg worked at the University Health Network and Mt. Sinai Hospital as a Cancer Reconstructive Surgeon.  Additionally, during his time at The Plastic Surgery Clinic, he worked to expand his skills as Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon.

Having worked with and learned from some of the world`s best Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons. Taking the best cosmetic surgery techniques and the best patient care protocols from all the training programs Dr. Jugenburg visited, he has created the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute.

In addition to Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Jugenburg continues to be very active in Trauma and Cancer Reconstruction. Dr. Jugenburg is presently affiliated with the Humber River Regional Hospital where he practices Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
