What is
Body Contouring

Surgical Body Contouring can be performed in normal-weight patients, patients who have lost significant weight through diet and exercise, and patients who have lost weight after Weight Loss Surgery (also known as Bariatric Surgery). Body Contouring removes excess sagging fat and skin, while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue, to smooth and shape your waist, hips, thighs, butt and/or arms. The result is a more normal appearance with enhanced body contours.

It is important that every patient has realistic expectations with regard to their concerns and goals. If your expectations are not realistic, the SixSurgery Team will discuss this with you during the consultation process. Surgery will only be considered if and when realistic goals and expectations can be met.

Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty

A Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that addresses stretch marks and removes excess fat and skin from the abdominal area in order to create an enhanced profile that is instantly smoother and firmer. All of our Body Contouring patients that undergo a procedure under general anesthesia are offered the convenience of staying in the Fairmont Royal York Hotel the first night after surgery at an additional charge (BBL patients receive this at no additional fee). If you have chosen to do so, once you are ready to be discharged from the Recovery Room, we will transport you to one of the luxurious hotel rooms, where you will be able to recover while enjoying the comfort of this spectacular hotel. We will also give you a small care package of essentials to use during your overnight stay. The following morning you will return to the clinic to be re-assessed and to have you dressings and bandages changed if necessary. Once you have been fully checked out, you will be able to leave and go home in your pre-arranged transport (you will not be able to drive yourself).

Recovery Process

The recovery period for a liposuction procedure can range from a few weeks to several months. Bruising, swelling and minor scarring are the most commonly reported effects of liposuction. While you can engage in light exercise a week after your operation, you cannot do heavy, strenuous physical activity until you have fully recovered.

Scarring

Scar healing will vary greatly depending on the patient's skin quality, pre-existing conditions and the type of procedure you are having. The best thing patients can do to help with their wound healing is to follow post-op instructions closely.
