Education & Training
Dr. Haywood is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Catherine Haywood graduated from the University of Victoria (Victoria, British Columbia) with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in 1991. She then graduated from McGill University Medical School in 1995, and completed Fellowship residency training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto.
As a renowned plastic surgeon; Dr. Haywood has participated in numerous research projects, well-published and actively involved with medical education. During her training she was noted for her teaching by the Toronto General Hospital, and was awarded the Dr. A.W. Harrison Teaching Award by Sunnybrook Hospital. In addition, the University of Toronto Department of Surgery awarded her for Most Outstanding Teacher as rated by the undergraduate students in her last year of training. At present she still supervises medical students and residents in her capacity of Staff Surgeon. She is also a Mentor for medical students at the University of Toronto.
Aside from her work with SixSurgery and private practise, Dr. Haywood also is an active Staff Surgeon at the William Osler Health Center.
