Illegal Butt Injections: Dangerous and Unattractive

Butt Injections

The desire for a curvier and plumper appearance of the bottom half is something women have craved for quite a number of years- and for good reason! In the media, all of the trending female artists and celebrities like Kim K, J-Lo and Iggy Azalea have an hourglass curve thanks to their fuller shapes. Butt injections fill that desire quickly and cheaply, but unfortunately, they are very dangerous and leave a long lasting negative appearance to your body- and this, is quite serious. So while you’re saving a few dollars here and there, you’re actually damaging your body for the rest of your life with butt injections.

27 year old Andrea Urcach, also known as the second place contestant in 2012 Brazil’s famous “Mi  ss Bumbum” competition was recently hospitalized because of these said injections. In the southern city of Porto Alegre, they removed the gel, which were fillers of hydrogel and PMMA, from her thighs. These substances came from the injections in her thighs that she paid to get a lift for her bottom. The consequences of the mishandled surgery are resulting in disturbing rotting leg muscles.

While the Brazilian star previously tried to drain the gel out of the thighs, this only caused further infection and damage to her body, in an interview she stated; “The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me. Now I’ve discovered that the PMMA is sticking to my muscles and causing the tissue to rot.” She also complained about severe pains and discomfort after the draining occurred. Even though the celebrity is no stranger to cosmetic surgery (she’s had a nose job, a bipolarity facial correction, jaw reduction, boob job, liposuction and even vaginal lip reduction), this is the only procedure that seemed to have backfired on her significantly. The last thing she tweeted was this picture from her hospital bed, but on Tuesday her condition reached critical status and went into septic shock.

So although the idea of butt injections may seem tempting and an easy solution to your curvier desires, there are many dangerous and unsafe complications that can happen from such an obscure cosmetic procedure.
